The article shows the ambiguous nature of the organizations involved in the solution of economic, financial and scientific and technical problems under globalization. As an optimal way of solution it indicates the active participation in the UN institutions; it also states the advantages and disadvantages balance of the Russian participation in the above named institutions. The article proves the impossibility of the world community maintaining Russia if Russia – a country with great potential – itself doesn’t put any effort toward independent development.

The article considers theoretical foundations of constructing socionic psychological model on the basis of genetic connection between Jung’s model and Model A, and shows the integral nature of socionic functions in relation to Jung’s functions. It demonstrates that four levels of consciousness in the socionic model are also energetic levels. The authors consider it possible to use the results of the given research as the basis of social and psychological human resources management methods, and also use them to teach the basics of psychological science to the students of economic and managerial specialties.

The development of monetary systems went through the same stages as sign systems: from the natural sign (money as a part of commodity world) to the sign as a symbol (money codifies commodity relations without being a part of commodity world). In the first case monetary systems follow the logic of real commodity relations; in the second one they follow the logic codifying this reality of the system. Monetary systems essentially are sign systems. They are cognitive and reality transformation appliances due to their “autonomy” gained during the evolutionary process.

The article contains retrospective changes regarding the functional role of customs tariff of the Russian Empire in the XIX century. The author assesses the tariff measures implemented by the government to determine the prevailing function out of three basic tariff functions: fiscal, related to foreign policy and protective. The research confirmed that the fiscal function of the customs tariff in Russia in the XIX century remained dominant.

The study of the artel business unit in Russian economy at the end of the XIX century and the beginning of the XX century shows the possibility of its usage in modern practice. As a traditional form of manufacturing organization the artel served as a prerequisite for eliminating contradictions between labour and capital, considerably aggravated at the end of the XIX century, which is connected with capitalism gaining momentum. At the modern stage of market relations development in Russia the artel business units may be considered as a most perspective trend in business activities. They may help take the edge off social and economic contradictions.

The special interest in the 1920s is caused by the central position of problems connected with nomenclature formation and joining of the party and state organizations. The article provides a brief description of the contents of Buryat-Mongol CEC reports dedicated to the issues relates to the social and economic development of Buryatia in the period of national statehood formation. The analysis of the given documents demonstrates the activities of the supreme executive body concerning economic development of the Republic in the above named period.

The article highlights the results of applying in the educational course “Economic policy and government management” case method used during the Economics Department students’ study of one of the topics. The readers are presented with the students’ reports at the final course conference, which concludes self-learning period.
The key reports of the conference were made by Ya. Golubeva and A. Chvanova and concerned the recession in 1929-1933, serving as grounds for the comparison of the Great Depression with the present-day recession. D. Krasilnikova tried to prove that in theory the events were long ago predicted by N.D. Kondratyev. G. Filyavina, N. Yakhibayev and A. Chilikin showed the strong connection of all of the most important problems with financial problems and the development of world financial system. The internship in the FRG allowed A. Sabitov to use the gained knowledge to prepare a review related to the forecasts of two leading European research centers concerning the ways out of the present situation. P. Panyshev, employing the statements of the state leaders, demonstrated which solutions of the recession problem are proposed by the French, the Germans and the Americans.
